Julien Barbay has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Julien began their career as a Stagiaire Opérateur Son at VCF in 2004, where they assisted in sound installations and managed high-frequency equipment. Julien then worked as a Web Integrator at Nalis in 2007, where they replicated designs in HTML/CSS and helped with design reviews.

After that, Julien joined Axance as a Junior UX Designer/Prototyper in 2007, where they assisted project managers with user-centric design work and provided technical advice. In 2009, they joined Bigyouth as an AS3 Developer, working on full Flash websites and PHP-related functionalities.

From 2010 to 2013, Julien worked at RAPP as a Senior Frontend Developer, coding in various technologies and serving as a consultant for designers and project managers. Julien then joined KRDS as a New Media Lead Developer from 2013 to 2015, leading frontend development and providing technical consultancy.

In 2015, Julien became the Technical Lead of the UX Division at Technicolor, where they worked on product and solution design for global clients in the Internet of Things field. Julien provided prototypes, tested interfaces, and audited solutions to ensure production readiness.

Julien then joined LINE Corp in 2018 as a Frontend Developer, where they developed and implemented a design system and participated in a platform refactoring project. Julien also worked at Amity from 2020 to 2022, serving as a Senior Web Engineer, Frontend Team Lead, and Platform Architect. Julien was responsible for managing web products, overseeing remote teams, and driving the migration of the platform to a scalable enterprise-grade system.

Currently, Julien is a Solutions Architect at Taskworld Inc, starting in 2022. Their main mission is to build and raise awareness of the company's infrastructure map using C4 modeling. Julien describes the current state of the product's technical solution and helps plan for optimizations.

Throughout their career, Julien has demonstrated expertise in frontend development, technical leadership, platform architecture, and user-centric design.

Julien Barbay has a diverse education history. Julien started their educational journey in 1999 by attending Lycée Paul Langevin, where they pursued a BAC STi in Génie Electronique. After completing their degree in 2002, they joined Efficom and obtained an Associate's degree in Sound Engineering from 2002 to 2004. Subsequently, they enrolled at Atalante and pursued another Associate's degree, this time in Software Engineering, from 2005 to 2006. Following this, Julien attended Autograf, where they completed a Preparatory Class in Design from 2006 to 2007. Finally, between 2007 and 2009, they returned to Autograf once again to earn an Associate's degree in Digital programming.
