Benjamin Harner

Benjamin Harner is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in various organizations, currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at tastyworks since December 2020. Prior to this role, Benjamin held a similar position at HERE from January 2016 to December 2020, where responsibilities included the development and support of Kafka and Zookeeper infrastructure. At Northwestern University, Benjamin worked as a Systems Analyst/Programmer from September 2011 to January 2016, contributing to applications for students, faculty, and staff, and played a key role in implementing the University’s service-oriented architecture. Earlier experiences include software engineering roles at Cerner Corporation, where Benjamin focused on online solutions for athletes and developed Java-based applications. Benjamin's foundational education includes a Master of Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Iowa.
