Nicholas has worked in various roles since 2014. Nicholas began their career as a Financial Research and Analysis Intern at North Pier Fiduciary Management. In 2015, they joined Oracle as an ERP/EPM/HCM Cloud Applications Consultant. In 2017, they worked as a JavaScript Engineer at Qubit. In 2019, they worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Fundbox and then as Senior Full Stack Engineer at Tatari. At Fundbox, they completed a full rewrite of all critical login/registration pages using JavaScript (Vue), Python (Django), and Webpack. At Tatari, they created reusable UI components and complex data visualizations using React, TypeScript, and Styled Components to provide clients with insights into the performance of their TV advertisements. Nicholas also wrote performant GraphQL APIs using Python, Graphene, SQLAlchemy, and Flask to efficiently provide 1000s of data points to frontend data visualizations. Additionally, they built ETL pipelines using SQL, Redshift, Python, AWS to provide users with analysis of their TV ad performance, which is used to optimize their TV ad spend. Nicholas also mentored mid-level engineers, junior engineers, and interns to increase knowledge and efficiency of teammates as well as reduce onboarding time.
Nicholas attended the University of California, Los Angeles from 2011 to 2015, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mathematics/Economics. In 2014, they also attended the University of California Education Abroad, Accent Center, studying Italian. In 2017, they completed an Advanced Software Engineering Immersive Program at Hack Reactor.
