Sword Doug has extensive experience in journalism and public policy, with a Bachelor’s degree in business finance from the University of Maryland College Park. Notable roles include Deputy Controller for the City of Indianapolis from 2002 to 2005, and various reporting positions from 1988 onwards, including responsibilities as a Financial Services Reporter for CQ Roll Call and a Tax Policy Reporter for Tax Notes. Sword Doug also worked as a Reporter for the Sarasota Herald-Tribune and the Indianapolis Star, focusing on government and business investigations. Currently on sabbatical since December 2012, Sword Doug continues to engage in travel and writing while assessing future career opportunities.
