Derrick Borel

Derrick Borel has extensive experience in both the military and the construction industry. Derrick served in the U.S. Coast Guard from August 1997 to June 2018, advancing to the role of Boatswain Mate and later as Boat Forces Operations Chief at the Maritime Force Protection Unit Kings Bay, where oversight included the daily operations and training of 50 personnel and management of 12 boats. In the construction sector, Derrick worked at Taylor Morrison from September 2024 to October 2021 as a Senior Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent, supervising the construction of homes. Derrick also held the position of Construction Superintendent from June 2023 to September 2024. Prior to these roles, Derrick was employed at Market Basket Supermarket as a Stocker from September 1995 to 1997. Educational qualifications include a high school diploma from Bridge City High School and an Associate of Science degree from Vincennes University, earned between 2012 and 2019.
