Bjorn Frogner

Bjorn Frogner has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Bjorn started their career in 2005 as a Professor at Silicon Valley University. In 2007, they became the Director of Technology Crest Corporation and later served as the Managing Director of JitVerify Services in 2009.

In 2010, Bjorn joined Frogner Associates, Inc as a Management Consultant, where they provided advisory services to IT companies and frequently lectured on topics related to clean energy, smart grid, incubators, and innovation.

From 2009 to 2014, Bjorn served as an Entrepreneur in Residence at bwtech@University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where they supported startup and emerging energy companies across Maryland and collaborated with the Maryland Clean Energy Center.

In 2015, Bjorn associated with CoMotion at University of Washington as an Entrepreneur in Residence for Clean Energy, assisting in the commercialization of clean energy technologies developed at the university. Bjorn co-founded Battery Informatics in 2016, working as the CEO and co-Founder until its closure in 2018. The company received research funding from ARPA-E and the Department of Energy.

Bjorn also held the position of Managing Director at Open Systems Control, Inc, a systems integrator for the electric power industry in China, from 2007 to 2008.

Bjorn has recently been involved with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as a Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program Member since 2019 and ASKA, Inc as a Business Development professional from 2019 to 2021. At ASKA, they played a key role in securing a Phase II SBIR from NASA for the development of software for autonomous vehicles and focused on business development for the resultant technology.

Bjorn Frogner pursued their education in the field of nuclear science, starting with a Master's Degree in Nuclear Physics from the University of Oslo (UiO) from 1965 to 1970. Building upon their foundation, they then went on to the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from 1971 to 1974.
