Michael Canup

Michael Canup has an extensive background in law enforcement and digital forensics. Beginning as a Police Officer at the Winston-Salem Police Department from November 2008 to August 2010, Michael responded to emergency calls and conducted crime reduction investigations in high-crime areas. After serving in the Street Crimes Unit, focusing on street-level crimes, Michael transitioned to the Criminal Investigations Division as a Detective in the Computer Forensic Unit, aiding various bureaus with digital evidence in criminal cases. Since January 2019, Michael has been employed as a Digital Forensics & Cybersecurity Analyst at TCDI. Michael holds a degree in Computer Science from Appalachian State University, completed between 1998 and 2000.
