Elizabeth Fiveash has extensive work experience in policy and legislative affairs. Elizabeth currently holds the position of Chief Policy Officer at the Tennessee Charter School Center since October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at ACT as the Director of State Government Relations from February 2020 to October 2020. From August 2016 to February 2020, Elizabeth served as the Assistant Commissioner of Policy & Legislative Affairs at the Tennessee Department of Education. Before that, they held various roles within the same department, including Director of Legislative Affairs from June 2015 to February 2020, and Legislative Liaison from November 2013 to June 2015. Elizabeth's earlier experience includes working as a Policy Associate at Rapoza Associates from March 2008 to March 2013, where they advocated for Rural Housing programs and facilitated communication between clients and governmental agencies. Elizabeth also worked at the United Fresh Produce Association as a Government Relations employee from November 2006 to March 2008, supporting legislative and regulatory affairs and coordinating events.
Elizabeth Fiveash attended The University of Alabama from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Following that, from 2011 to 2013, they went on to study at Georgetown University and earned a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies (MALS), specializing in Social and Public Policy.
