Tim James

Tim James is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Head of FICC Technology at TD Securities since August 2018, Tim James has overseen the delivery of technology roadmaps across the trade lifecycle for Fixed Income, Currencies, and Commodities. Previous roles include leadership positions in equities and commodities technology, overseeing significant investments and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Tim James began the career as a Weather Software Developer at Merrill Lynch, later held various positions at Barclays Investment Bank, Bloomberg LP, and Tower Research Capital, where performance optimization and regulatory improvements were key focuses. Tim James holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham.
