Nigel Smith

Nigel Smith currently serves as Head of ESG & Sustainability at TDR Capital since October 2018. In addition, Nigel is the Director and Founder of Corporate Balance Ltd, a consultancy that aids businesses in integrating responsible practices across various areas, including strategy development and stakeholder engagement. Previous roles include Head of Corporate Responsibility at KPMG, where Nigel oversaw advisory services and client projects focused on risk, governance, and strategy development, and Director of Corporate Responsibility at the British Retail Consortium, managing policy development related to environmental and social issues. Early career experience includes serving as Sustainability Account Manager at Valpak Limited, specializing in packaging waste compliance. Nigel holds an MSc in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Hull and a BSc in Environmental Policy & Management from the University of Gloucestershire.
