Kaylie Smith

Kaylie Smith is an accomplished Principal Engineer in Global R&D and New Product Development at TE Connectivity, overseeing the development of new products for the Performance Materials business unit since August 2020, including line management responsibilities. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Scientist at De La Rue, where Kaylie led a key security printing project, and as a Polymer Scientist at Versarien Advanced Composites, focusing on graphene-modified materials. Additional roles include Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Ketonex Limited, where Kaylie contributed to the development of high-performance engineering thermoplastics. Earlier career experience includes a role as Chemistry Based Administrator at ITM Power. Kaylie holds a DPhil in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Oxford and an MChem in Chemistry from The University of Sheffield.
