Mark Benton

Mark Benton is a Business Unit Director and Subject Matter Expert in Rugged Fiber Optics at TE Connectivity, where they currently drive next-generation new product development as part of the Systems & Architecture Team. Previously, Mark held roles such as General Manager at Advanced Fiber Products, LLC, and Director of Product Management at both Emerson and Stratos Optical Technologies. They have extensive experience in business development, product management, and engineering, having led cross-functional teams and improved product development processes throughout their career. Mark earned both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison following a B.S. in General Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
