Anna Townsend

Anna Townsend is the Executive Director of Transformational Programmes at Teach First, where they focus on empowering individuals to contribute to educational change through the development of great teachers and exceptional leaders. With a strong leadership background and an MA in Leadership in Education from University College London, Anna previously held the position of Director of Delivery, leading a team of 200 colleagues and managing a significant budget for the effective delivery of various educational programmes. Their career includes roles such as London Regional Director and School Partnership Manager, where they established over 100 school partnerships. Prior to their tenure in education, Anna began their professional journey as a Product Design Engineer at Smiths Medical.
