Michael Bailey has a diverse work experience in the education field. Michael began their career in 2010 as a Warehouse Worker at B & F Johnstones, where they worked until 2014. In 2015, they became a Permanent Substitute at Rocky Point Union Free School District. From 2016 to 2018, they taught Mathematics as a Teacher at Freeport Christian Academy, where they also developed the math curriculum. During this time, they implemented various teaching techniques and tools to cater to students with different abilities and learning styles. From 2016 to 2019, they also worked as a Mathematics Tutor and Head Exam Prep Teacher at Huntington Learning Center.

In 2018, Michael joined Eastern Suffolk BOCES as a Special Education Teacher, where they managed projects and activities for math, science, and health classes for grades seven and eight.
