Senior Software Engineer II | Growth Revenue at Teachable

Reid Cooper has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Reid started their career as a Soccer Referee at Medford Township Recreation from September 2006 to April 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Summer Research Assistant at Monmouth University, where they gathered requirements and developed Java-based software for simulating diseases in populations. In the same year, they also served as an IT Intern at Jersey Shore Crawlspace.

From 2013 to 2014, Reid was a Software Developer at Rapid Response Institute, focusing on software development. Reid then joined Leaguer in 2014 as a Software Developer Consultant, where they upgraded Ruby and Rails frameworks. Later that year, they worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Monmouth University Department of Disability Services for Students.

In 2015, Reid joined Mack Weldon as a Software Engineer, specializing in reinventing men's wear basics. Reid collaborated with a team of four engineers in New York City. Concurrently, they also served as a Summer Research Assistant at Monmouth University during that period, gathering real-time MLB statistics and programming simulations in Python.

Reid's most recent employment is at Teachable, where they have held multiple roles since 2019. Reid started as a Backend Engineer for the Core Product, enabling course creators to build course websites using a Rails stack. In subsequent roles, they became a Senior Backend Engineer, focusing on the Student Experience. In their latter role, they also held the position of Technical Lead, supporting the growth revenue.

Reid Cooper holds a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Monmouth University, which they obtained from 2014 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Monmouth University, earning a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from 2010 to 2014. During their time there, they also pursued a minor in Mathematics.

Before their university education, Reid Cooper received their high school degree from Lenape Regional High School District (LRHSD), specifically Shawnee High School, from 2006 to 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a NJ State Grade 9 Recreational Referee certification from the New Jersey Referee Committee in September 2007.
