Jack Clark has served as head coach for men’s varsity rugby at the University of California, Berkeley since 1984. His Golden Bears have won 27 national collegiate titles, producing 136 All-Americans and 47 full internationals on the U.S. National Team. Founder of the U.S. Collegiate All-American Team, Clark also served as head coach of the U.S. National Team, notching more victories in his tenure than any other U.S. coach. He is a member of the U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame and Cal Athletic Hall of Fame, and recipient of the Glenn T. Seaborg Award in honor of the former Chancellor and Nobel Prize winner. Clark was named a Pac-12 Living Legend and one of Cal’s Ten Most Influential Sports Figures of the 20th Century.
