George Durance

President Emeritus at TeachBeyond

George Durance has a diverse work experience spanning for several decades. George began their career as a High School Teacher with the Calgary Public School Board in 1982. Following this, they worked as a Teacher-Director for the Black Forest Academy Janz Team from 1985 to 1997. In 1997, George became the President of Ambrose University until 2009, when they transitioned to the role of President Emeritus. George then joined TeachBeyond in 2009, starting as the President and later becoming the President Emeritus in 2019. Currently, they serve as the Facilitating Director at The CATE Centre since 2019.

George Durance has a diverse education history. George obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Education from Durham University. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in History from the University of Calgary. George also holds a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree from the University of Calgary, specializing in an unspecified field of study. Before attending the University of Calgary, George earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from Warner Pacific University. Additionally, they have a Bachelor's degree (BBS) from Prairie College in Bible/Biblical Studies.
