Anti-bias Early Childhood Working Group Member at Teaching for Change

Anna Curtis, M.A.T., currently works with District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) as an Advisor for the Child Development Center Family Involvement Team and serves as a Board Member for the School Community Organization. With experience in ESOL for K-1 students, Anna has demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, assessment design, and engaging families in the educational process. Additionally, Anna is involved with the DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) as a State ESEA Title III Advisory Committee Member and participates in various educational institutes, focusing on multilingual learners and special education. Anna has a strong commitment to anti-racist education as a graduate of the Anti-Racist Educator University program and contributes to community initiatives as a volunteer Neighborhood Compost Cooperative Manager. Anna holds a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Trinity Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Skidmore College.
