Halima Lugent

Halima Lugent is an educational consultant with over fifteen years of experience in public and charter schools throughout New York City. Currently serving as a Senior Educational Consultant at Teaching Matters, Halima collaborates with school leaders and educators to enhance literacy instruction through initiatives like the Science of Reading and NYC Reads. Their background includes roles as a middle and high school teacher, focusing on curriculum design and social-emotional learning, as well as being a certified yoga instructor. Halima holds an MST from Pace University and a BA in Spanish from CSU Long Beach, and is actively exploring technology through courses in Data Science and Python Programming.
