Lance Ozier

Lance Ozier is an experienced educator with nearly 30 years in various teaching roles, including classroom teacher and literacy coach/consultant, across public schools in Atlanta and NYC. Currently a Senior Education Consultant at Teaching Matters, Lance leads initiatives aimed at promoting equitable literacy proficiency through collaboration with middle schools. Lance has previously served as the Senior Literacy Specialist at the Institute for Student Achievement and has contributed to numerous national publications. With advanced degrees in Sociology and Education, as well as English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, Lance also teaches at the City University of New York and has presented at numerous national and international conferences.
