Amanda Hackney is a GIS and Biology Consultant and founder of Black Cat GIS & Biological LLC, where quality mapping products are provided to the natural resources and business communities. Amanda has extensive experience in spatial data analysis, field studies of coastal ecosystems, and education, currently serving as GIS Trainer at TeachMeGIS and Adjunct Instructor at Lee College. Amanda is also a Doctoral Student at Texas A&M University Galveston Campus, pursuing a PhD in Marine and Coastal Management Science. Previous roles include Senior Coastal Conservation Biologist and Coastal Program Manager at Audubon Texas, Project Coordinator at Fort Worth Zoo, and Biological Tech at US Fish and Wildlife Service, among others. Academically, Amanda holds a Master of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology from Clemson University and a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from Louisiana State University.
