Chrystal Ng has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Chrystal began their career as a Marketing and Editorial / Project Manager for The Filmic Eye, a film education startup. Chrystal then worked as a Conference Assistant at Nanyang Technological University, where they assisted in organizing film-related conferences. Ng also worked as a Youth Jury Facilitator for the Singapore International Film Festival, where they supported the activities of the Youth Jury and managed logistics.

Ng's work in the academic field includes roles as an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Technological University and a Part-Time Tutor at LASALLE College of the Arts. In these positions, they taught courses on visual literacy, animation history, and world cinema. Ng also took on additional responsibilities at LASALLE as a Liaison Officer, acting as a point of contact for projects and events.

Chrystal Ng obtained a Bachelor of Communications degree in Communication Research and Public Relations from Nanyang Technological University Singapore in 2014. In 2012, they participated in a Study Abroad Programme in Communication and Media Studies at Texas Christian University. Chrystal then went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Film/Cinema Studies and Festival Studies at Nanyang Technological University Singapore from 2015 to 2017.
