André Brodkorb

Senior Research Scientist

Dr. André Brodkorb is a Principal Research Officer in the Food Chemistry and Technology department of the Teagasc Food Research Centre Moorepark in Ireland, where they focus on the structure-function relationship of food, particularly proteins. Their research encompasses the entire journey from food source to digestion and nutrient absorption. Dr. Brodkorb has received recognition for their work, including the 2016 Poncelet Prize for Innovation in Encapsulation Technology. Additionally, they serve on the Expert Committee for the National Standards Authority of Ireland and contribute to the SFI-funded VistaMilk centre and the Enterprise Ireland technology centre, Food For Health Ireland. Dr. Brodkorb holds a Ph.D. in Photo-inorganic Chemistry from Université libre de Bruxelles.
