David Meredith

David Meredith is the Head of the Agri-Food Business and Spatial Analysis Department at Teagasc, where they lead a nationally distributed team focused on addressing social, economic, and spatial challenges in farming and rural life. With extensive experience in research leadership, David oversees interdisciplinary projects that contribute to sustainable food systems and policy development, including their role as Principal Investigator on several significant projects. David holds a BSc and MLitt in Geography from University College Dublin and a PhD from Maynooth University, and has published over 40 peer-reviewed articles. Additionally, David has significant experience in evaluating public policy impacts and has held leadership positions in various research and strategic initiatives within the rural sector.
