Kate McCarthy is a Technologist at Teagasc since July 2023. Previous experience includes a role as a Student Assistant at Phileo Lesaffre Animal Care in April 2017, where valuable knowledge was gained on yeast in rumen interactions. In May 2017, Kate worked as a Student at INRA French National Institute for Agricultural Research, participating in trial work related to dairy cow systems. Additionally, a work placement at Manor Farm provided insights into broiler production, processing, and poultry nutrition. Kate holds a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences from University College Dublin, where studies continued with a PhD from September 2018 to September 2022.
