Muireann Egan is the Operations Manager for the Teagasc Climate Centre, where they coordinate agricultural climate and biodiversity research and innovation. In this role, Muireann manages operations, project management, science communications, and stakeholder engagement. With a research background in microbiology, Muireann completed a PhD focused on the early gut microbiome and molecular microbiology at University College Cork, where they also earned a Bachelor of Science degree. Prior to the current position, Muireann held various roles, including Postdoctoral Researcher and Technical Officer, across organizations such as APC Microbiome Ireland and Medtronic.
