Jeffrey McGrath has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jeffrey began their career as a Pyrotechnician at Lantis Fireworks and Lasers, where they were responsible for the setup, security, safety, firing, spotting, cleanup, and handling of 1.3G firework shows. Jeffrey also held the position of Photographer at the University of Utah - The Daily Utah Chronicle.

In 2007, Jeffrey founded JM Technology Consulting, LLC, where they provided technical services and consulting, including website design and implementation, server setup, computer repair, and photography for websites and marketing purposes.

Jeffrey then joined Raytheon Oakley Systems as a Software Quality Assurance & Automation specialist. Jeffrey ensured the quality of Raytheon IIS products and developed automation systems to increase productivity. Jeffrey continued with the company after it was acquired by Raytheon.

At Fusion-io, Jeffrey worked as a Tools Automation Engineer, developing and maintaining software tools and an automated distributed firmware regression testing and reporting system for the FPGA logic group. Jeffrey also provided technical support for the team.

After Fusion-io, Jeffrey joined Bluehost.com as a Web Developer. Jeffrey programmed frontend and backend code for Bluehost.com and other EIG Brands, following agile development methodologies and ensuring the quality of customer-facing and internal websites.

Jeffrey then worked at EventBoard.io as a Developer & IT Manager. Jeffrey oversaw and implemented IT projects, performed programming tasks, automation, and tool creation, and assisted with sales, support, and building out infosec policies and guidelines.

At Luxul, Jeffrey served as a Senior QA Automation Engineer, where they architected, developed, and implemented an automated smoke and regression test system. Jeffrey also headed the implementation of tools and best practices for Quality Assurance and migrated test cases to a test case management system.

Before their current role, Jeffrey worked at Control4 as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test. Jeffrey was responsible for testing and ensuring the quality of software products.

Currently, Jeffrey is working at Teal Drones as a Senior Engineer in Test.

Jeffrey McGrath obtained an Associate's Degree in General Studies from Salt Lake Community College, where they studied from 2003 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Communications at the University of Utah, where they attended from 2009 to 2016. In addition to their formal education, Jeffrey also obtained a certification as a Remote Pilot for Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems Part 107 from the Federal Aviation Administration in April 2021.
