Derek Michel

Derek Michel serves as the Vice President of Mechanical Systems and Mechanical Construction at TEAL since August 2022, following previous roles as Director of iPlant Design. Prior experience includes leading the Retail Sector Automotive Practice at Henderson Engineers from October 2018 to August 2022, along with positions as Project Manager/Mechanical Designer at C1S and JJA, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed managing mechanical designs for commercial and industrial projects. Derek also held project management roles at PE-Services and AOS Engineering, and was a Senior Mechanical Designer at Jordan and Skala Engineers. Derek's career began with service as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 2001 to 2006.
