Gar Whaley has a extensive work experience in the IT field. Gar is currently the Cofounder & CRO at Teal, where they work as a trusted technology partner for small to medium-sized businesses, providing advanced IT services and robust cybersecurity measures. Prior to Teal, they were the Principal & Cofounder at Aligned Technology Solutions, where they managed and maintained various technology systems. Gar also served as the Vice President of IT at Envision EMI and held various leadership positions at MicroStrategy, CALIBRE Systems, FastTide, Microdyne, and CKRD Associates, where they gained valuable experience in network operations, technical support, and management information systems.

Gar Whaley, CISSP, CISM, CGEIT, CISA has a Bachelor's degree in Management Economics and History from Hampden-Sydney College. Gar also attended Bishop Ireton High School. Additionally, they hold various certifications including Frictionless Sales and HubSpot Sales Software Certified from HubSpot, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body (CMMC AB) Registered Practitioner, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Divemaster (DM) from PADI.
