Marcel V. has extensive experience in cybersecurity and digital forensics, currently serving as Chief Scientist and Manager of R&D at Team Cymru since March 2008. Marcel has held various roles at Team Cymru, including Team Cymru Fellow, Senior Research Fellow, Team Lead for Threat Intelligence, and Senior Cyber Security Analyst. Prior to joining Team Cymru, Marcel worked as a Digital Forensic Investigator at OPTA from February 2007 to January 2008 and was a part-time teacher in Cybercrime investigations at Politieacademie from January 2004 to January 2008. Marcel's career in law enforcement began at the National High Tech Crime Centre from January 1994 to January 2007, where key positions included High Tech Crime Investigator, Senior Internet Investigator, and Police Officer.
