Andy McSweeney is a seasoned sports performance professional with extensive experience in high-performance environments, currently serving as Performance Advisor Lead at UK Sport since August 2017. In addition to this role, Andy holds the position of Deputy Head of Performance Lodge for Team GB, responsible for the planning and delivery of training facilities for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, having previously fulfilled the same role for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Prior experience includes various management positions at the sportscotland Institute of Sport, Operations Manager for the Team GB Preparation Camp for Rio 2016, and leadership roles within basketballscotland. Andy’s educational background includes a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science from Loughborough University.
