Lucy Tanner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in policy development and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as a Senior Associate in Plastics and Waste at Tearfund since April 2022, Lucy previously held key roles at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) as a Senior Policy Advisor for Nuclear Energy from August 2013 to March 2022. Before this, Lucy was the Head of Communications & Stakeholder Engagement for the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) from April 2012 to August 2013. Lucy's early career included various policy-focused positions within the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, ranging from a Policy Advisor on ICT Skills to a Fast Stream Graduate. Lucy holds a degree in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford and completed A Levels in French, History, and English Literature at Woodkirk High School.
