Florian Schmid

Florian Schmid has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Florian is currently working at Tecan as the Associate Director, Next-Gen Sales & Digital Dispensing Portfolio. Prior to that, they were a Senior Manager in Strategy & Business Development at Tecan. Florian also has consulting experience at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as a Consultant. Florian has worked at ETH Zurich as a Master Thesis Student, focusing on risk, safety, and uncertainty quantification. Florian also served as a Project Manager & Head of Industry Relations at ETH juniors, a student-run consultancy. Additionally, they have interned at Frutiger Gruppe as a Site Manager and at Amberg Group as a Project Engineering Intern. Florian's earlier experiences include working as a Research Assistant at ETH Zurich and as a Teaching Assistant. Florian started their career as a CAD Draftsman at Stämpfli + Zbinden GmbH, where they also completed their engineering apprenticeship.
