Michael Son

Michael Son is an Associate Scientist III in R&D at Tecan Genomics, Inc., with a strong background in molecular biology and genetic engineering. Michael has experience developing NGS library prep workflows and conducting experiments for product marketing. Prior roles include Associate Scientist II at Tecan, where Michael focused on enzyme project development, and a position as a Data Scientist at Springboard, honing data analysis and machine learning skills. Earlier experiences include work as a System Verification and Validation Engineer at Thermo Fisher Scientific and as a Student Research Assistant at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology, where Michael contributed to important research on PAR 3/6 proteins. Michael holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science from the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg.
