Tecfen Medical manufactures Precision Ophthalmic Products™ and is located in Santa Barbara, California.

We work closely with leading eye care professionals to develop high quality and cost effective products, specializing in Ophthalmic Surgical Disposables and Post Op Kits.

Our founder Gene Ekonomi studied Engineering and graduated from MIT, before earning his graduate degree from UC Berkeley. Gene's entrepreneurial spirit and preference for a temperate climate led him to Santa Barbara, where he began exporting medical products in 1982.

With a strong sales and marketing background, Gene's son Kerim Ekonomi has been instrumental in the successful branding and year-over-year growth of Tecfen Medical for the last 10 years.  Under the leadership of Kerim, Tecfen Medical now manufactures many of its own ophthalmic products, and continues to expand in both domestic and international markets.
