Carissa Knipe is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in developing software solutions. Knipe began a career in computer science serving as a Lab Assistant at Carleton College's Computer Science Department from September 2012 to November 2013. Following this, Knipe held multiple roles at Tableau from January 2018 to April 2020, including Senior Software Engineer and Lead Member of Technical Staff, focusing on visual analysis. Knipe later became a Visualization Consultant at Carleton College in June 2013 and currently serves as a Senior Software Engineer at Tech Matters, starting in March 2024, where development work centers on the open-source Terraso project aimed at aiding communities in sustainable economic planning.
