Why do we want to address FemTech in Italy?
Women represent 50% of the world's population, yet more than 80% of drug and therapy trials are performed on men.

An imbalance that has become unsustainable, which the FemTech (Female Technologies) sector, a market with an estimated value of $100 billion in 2030, aims to remedy (Dealroom).

The term FemTech was coined in 2016 by Ida Tin, founder of Clue, a menstrual cycle tracking app that has 10 million monthly active users.

FemTech encompasses a wide variety of health and wellness companies and startups dedicated to conditions and diseases that:
- are specific to women
- affect women differently from men
- affect women disproportionately to men

Tech4Fem™ is a community of people interested in women's health and wellness, aiming to inform, popularize, and educate on these issues to close a gap that can no longer be tolerated. With contributions from all.
