David Schaefer

David Schaefer is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the insurance industry and corporate leadership. Currently serving as Chairman of Middle Market at Baldwin Risk Partners since January 2023, Schaefer has been the President & CEO of AHT INSURANCE since February 1987. In addition to these roles, Schaefer has been a Director at NVTC since January 2009 and a Founding Member and Past Chairman of TechAssure since 2000. Early career experience includes working as an Account Executive in the Information Systems Group at McDonald Douglas Corporation from January 1986 to January 1987 and as a staffer for the United States House of Representatives from September 1984 to January 1986. Schaefer holds a BA in Business and Political Science from Wittenberg University, where education was completed between 1980 and 1984, and attended Northmont High School from 1976 to 1980.
