Ariel Frankel

Director of Public Health at TechChange

Ariel Frankel is a public health professional with experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), formative research and design (including feminist research methods), and international program management. Prior to joining TechChange, Ariel spent some time working with community health workers in Nairobi, Kenya to pilot a mobile application designed to help women experiencing intimate partner violence create personalized safety plans. Prior to that, she worked for over 5 years conducting M&E using mixed methods to generate evidence on the effectiveness of programs for a variety of public health programs with governmental and non-governmental clients. She is passionate about the intersection of research and community mobilization, and the use of technology in catalyzing health behavior change. Ariel holds a Master’s Degree in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University.
