TechCollect NZ is helping build a cleaner, more circular future for Aotearoa by combining national coordination with meaningful local impact.

Established in 2018, TechCollect NZ is a New Zealand-based, not-for-profit organisation delivering a nationally coordinated solution for the safe collection and responsible recycling of e-waste and ICT equipment. Working with trusted local partners across the country, we provide free drop-off services for households and small businesses so unwanted technology can be managed safely, compliantly, and sustainably.

Electronic waste is one of the fastest-growing waste streams in New Zealand. Without coordinated systems in place, end-of-life devices can end up in landfills, wasting valuable materials and posing risks to soil and waterways.

From laptops and desktops to printers and accessories, we help divert e-waste from landfills and recover valuable resources so they can be returned to productive use.

Our work is practical and delivery-focused. We collaborate with industry, recyclers, councils, and stakeholders to strengthen a transparent and accountable stewardship system that supports communities nationwide, including regional and provincial New Zealand.

Together, we are turning a growing environmental challenge into a coordinated national solution.
