Damian Benstead

Damian Benstead is currently the Event Partnerships Manager at TechCrunch. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at The Golf Show Group from January 2011 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning to ensure viability and longevity of the Golf Show Group, as well as managing and organizing annual consumer golf shows. Damian also oversaw marketing and PR to reach target visitor numbers, created new events from conception through to successful completion, and instigated relationships with new sponsors and show partners. Damian was also responsible for liaising and negotiating with venues, contractors, and suppliers.

From January 2008 to January 2011, Damian was the Sales Director at The Golf Show Group. In this role, they managed and executed sales planning for two annual shows, and guided and mentored the sales team to exceed collective goals and targets. Damian also managed all key golf industry manufacturer accounts, innovated new products to increase total sales, sourced new business through international organizations and trade shows, and recruited and trained new members of the team.
