Matt Smith

Matt Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matt is currently the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Techcyte, where they are responsible for leading partnering, corporate development, and risk management initiatives. Prior to this, Matt was the Owner of Smooth Canyon LLC since 2016. From 2017 to 2020, they held various roles at ZAGG, Inc., including Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development, where they led strategy, corporate development, competitive insights, and innovation efforts. Before that, Matt worked at LANDESK Software from 2003 to 2015, serving as Vice President of Corporate Development and General Counsel, among other positions. Matt began their career as an Attorney at Cooley Godward, specializing in fund formation and general corporate law. Matt's earliest work experience was as an Inside Sales Manager at Global Microcomputer Technologies.

Matt Smith's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Brigham Young University, which they obtained from 1993 to 1997. Matt then attended Boston University School of Law from 1998 to 2001, where they earned a Juris Doctor (JD) degree with a focus on Law. In 2000, they also spent a brief period as a Visiting Student at Oxford University (St. Catherine's), specializing in Intellectual Property and Jurisprudence.
