Derek Barr

Derek Barr is an experienced professional in the fields of instructional technology and design, currently serving as the Assistant Director of ITS Digital Media and Classroom Technology Services, as well as an Instructional Technologist at Salem State University since September 1992. In this role, Derek Barr assists faculty and teaching support staff with instructional design, classroom pedagogy, technology integration, and assessment strategies. Additionally, since January 1989, Derek Barr has been the Owner/President of Barr Media Consultants, a firm specializing in web, print, and electronic design, along with home automation and entertainment system integration. Furthermore, Derek Barr has been a Senior Consultant at Techevolution since January 1998, focusing on special projects. Derek Barr holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design and Media Communications from Salem State University, completed in 1992, and completed general studies at Swampscott High School in 1987.
