George Kanabe

George Kanabe serves as the Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for AI, Product, IP, and Marketing at Snowflake since December 2023, contributing to the company’s mission of empowering organizations to leverage their Data Cloud. Previously, George was a Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at McAfee, where leadership included overseeing the legal aspects of product, brand, and public policy. George has held significant positions within the Association of Corporate Patent Counsel, including Executive Committee Member and Secretary, fostering discussions on best practices in intellectual property management. An accomplished legal professional, George's career trajectory includes partnerships and counsel roles at renowned law firms such as Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton LLP, as well as foundational experience as a Patent Agent at multiple firms. George holds a Juris Doctor degree from Fordham University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rutgers School of Engineering.
