Nolan Highbaugh

Nolan Highbaugh is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel for UnboundEd.org, focusing on legal services for the organization and its subsidiary, CORE Learning. Previously, Nolan held the position of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at BookNook, where responsibilities included building a legal team for a Series B ed tech startup and advising on various legal matters. At the KIPP Foundation, significant contributions were made to the expansion of the KIPP school network, including overseeing school mergers and establishing a pro bono partnership that delivered substantial legal services. Early in Nolan's career, experiences included roles as a Public Finance Associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP and as a Budget & Policy Analyst in San Francisco and Los Angeles County. Nolan holds a JD from Stanford Law School and advanced degrees in Public Policy Analysis and Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley.
