Jeffrey Anderson is an experienced film reviewer and writer with a diverse portfolio in the media industry. Since September 2009, Jeffrey has worked as a reviewer at Common Sense Media, focusing on parent and child concerns regarding movie content and quality. Concurrently, Jeffrey has been a freelance features writer for the San Francisco Examiner since December 2000, contributing feature stories, interviews, and reviews. As a co-creator and editor of Movie Thingy since April 2013, Jeffrey developed a unique movie recommendation system based on moods and tones. Jeffrey also writes frequently for Combustible Celluloid and serves as a columnist for TechHive, focusing on streaming movies. Additional roles include serving as a film critic for Las Vegas Weekly, guest lecturer at the Academy of Art University, and former freelance contributions to Movies.com and GreenCine. Jeffrey holds a Master of Arts in Film/Cinema/Video Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema Studies, both from San Francisco State University.
