Chris Burns

Chris Burns has a long and varied career in the IT industry. Chris began their career in 2001 as a Web Hosting Support Representative for XO Communications. In 2004, they took on the role of IT Consultant/Engineer for Creative Breakthroughs Inc, where they managed multiple clients and acted as their outsourced network administrator. In 2007, they became an IT Manager/Systems Consultant for Netfusions, developing policies and procedures for internal and external controls. In 2008, they joined CareTech Solutions as a Citrix Architect and Citrix Engineer, where they specialized in developing Citrix deployments and managed multiple Citrix environments. Chris also became an Elite Member of The 20 MSP in 2017. Currently, they are the Owner/CEO of Techie Gurus LLC, where they help businesses understand their cyber risks and create a plan to manage them. Chris is also the Owner/CEO of Your Cyber Team since 2021.

Chris Burns obtained their Diploma from Coleman High School between 1994 and 1998. Chris then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree of Business Administration in Business Management from Davenport University between 2002 and 2005. Chris also holds certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA, and Citrix, including MCSA: Windows Server 2012, MCSA Windows Server 2008, MCSE Windows Server 2003, MCSA Windows Server 2003 + Messaging, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE - V), Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP - V), Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization, Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization, Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization, Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP - V), and Citrix Certified Integration Architect for Virtualization.
