Eric Smith

Eric Smith has extensive experience in the connected computing sector, currently serving as Director of Connected Computing at TechInsights since July 2022, focusing on forecasting and market analysis for laptop and tablet devices while leading client management efforts. Prior to this role, Eric spent nearly a decade at Strategy Analytics, progressing from Analyst to Director, where responsibilities included market tracking, project development, and consumer behavior analysis in relation to devices. Eric's experience also includes advisory work at the Consulate General of Japan, where briefings on political and economic matters were crafted based on comprehensive research, as well as a role as Sales Engineer at Musashi Auto Parts Michigan, focusing on automotive client negotiations. Eric began the professional journey as an Assistant Language Teacher in Japan after obtaining a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University.
