John Boyd

John Boyd is an experienced Product Manager at TechInsights since March 2019, specializing in technology analyses for advanced chipsets, particularly in leading-edge SoCs for various applications. Previous roles include Project Engineering Manager at Lam Research, where John managed new product development projects in CMP and electrochemical plating, and Director of Process Technology at Strasbaugh, setting strategic goals for CMP R&D. Additionally, John worked as a Senior Staff Scientist at Semiconductor Insights and Nortel Networks, contributing to semiconductor manufacturing and process development, along with an early career as an Analytical Chemist for the Federal Government. John holds an Hons. BSc in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa.
