Shawn Payer has amassed extensive experience in technical research and sourcing within the engineering procurement sector at TechInsights since October 2015. In the role of Technical Research and Sourcing Specialist, responsibilities include identifying key companies and devices in target sectors, as well as monitoring technical specifications and market trends. Prior to this, Shawn served as a Lab Technologist and Teardown Specialist, specializing in the disassembly and cataloging of unit products, with experience gained at Chipworks before its merger with TechInsights. Additionally, Shawn has a background at Abbott as a Wafer Fab Operator III Trainer, focusing on documentation compliance and training materials, and began a career as a Shift Manager at McDonald's, managing cash operations and customer service. Shawn’s educational background includes multiple certifications from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology between 2003 and 2015.
